On Friday, April 4th, 2014 at 9PM Seth Bisen-Hersh will revisit his filthiest, naughtiest, raunchiest, most offensive material in an evening entitled Not Your Grandma's Cabaret (unless she's really naughty). The revue features 15 older songs from Bisen-Hersh's catalogs including songs from the award-winning Fringe musical Meaningless Sex and selections from his older cabarets MeaningFUL Sex, Neurotic Tendencies, Why Am I Not Famous Yet? and The Gayest, Straight Man Alive. Furthermore, the show will present some smutty trunk songs never before heard and 3 new dirty ditties. We would list some of the song titles in this press release, but then it might not be printable by some media outlets!

Bisen-Hersh will be joined on stage by the racy, ribald Matt DaSilva, Teresa Hui, Madison James, Aaron Keller, Amy Lang, Melissa Meli, Kyla Noelle, Mason Reich and Lauren Testerman.

The show will be at Don't Tell Mama, 343 W 46th St. There is a $12 cover/ 2 drink minimum, which is cash only. For reservations call 212-757-0788 after 4, or visit donttellmamanyc.com .

This show is highly recommended for people who are extremely hard to offend, while people who are easily offended are highly recommended to skip it.

WHO'S WHO:

SETH BISEN-HERSH is a prolific composer/ lyricist, accompanist, vocal coach and performer in NYC. Seth has had two musicals produced at the NY International Fringe Festival: Meaningless Sex (2003) and The Spickner Spin (2004), which both won the Audience Favorite Award. His other musicals include More to Love, Stanley's Party, which had a critically acclaimed run spring 2010 at Manhattan Children’s Theatre. Finally, his musical Love Quirks recently released its cast recording and is hoping to open Off-Broadway in 2014. Including tonight, Seth has written and co-starred in nine cabaret acts consisting of original songs: And Then She Dumped Me (2003), The Gayest Straight Man Alive (2004), Meaningful Sex (2005), Neurotic Tendencies (2006), Why Am I Not Famous Yet? (2007), Writer's Block (2008), I’ll Relax When I’m Dead (2010), If Adele Can Do It, So Can I (2013) and Not Your Grandma’s Cabaret (unless she’s really naughty) (2014). Additionally, in 2009 he developed two charity concerts of his work, Broadway Meows for the Humane Society and Broadway Can! for City Harvest, which celebrated their fifth years in 2013. Seth produces, emcees and accompanies weekly talent showcases at Don’t Tell Mama. By spring 2014, he will have produced 300 featuring over 1000 performers. Seth earned two Bachelor Degrees from MIT: one in Music Composition and one in Computer Science and Engineering and a Masters in Music Technology from NYU. Fun Fact: Almost every line in this show is based on truth, either from Seth's life or one his friends'... or in one case... his exgirlfriend's. www.sethbh.com

MATT DASILVA's recent regional credits include Laughter on the 23rd FloorLes Miserables, Miracle on 34th Street The Musical and Grease. DaSilva also studies improv and sketch comedy writing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York City. Favorite memes/internet things include anything where dogs behave like humans, such as “Lawyer Dog” or “Text From Dog.” Wool sock enthusiast. www.mattdasilva.net

TERESA HUI is naughtily thrilled to be performing in Not Your Grandma's Cabaret! She has recently appeared in Aisle Six, a new musical comedy that was presented as part of the NYC Fringe Festival. Other credits include Fairy Tale (NYMF), Fragments (at Don't Tell Mama, by Rori Nogee), Four Different Lives (Worldwide Plays Festival), and The Mole (Fresh Fruit Festival). Teresa has appeared on TV and in Film, including Candide for PBS's "Great Performances" (starring Kristin Chenoweth and Patti Lupone, filmed at Lincoln Center with the New York Philharmonic, directed by Lonny Price), "That's What She Said" (Sundance Film Festival Selection starring Anne Heche & directed by Carrie Preston), an indie film titled "The Unity of All Things," which has recently screened at the Locarno and Vancouver Film Festivals, and a national TV commercial for "Spread the Word to End the Word," a PSA which premiered during FOX's "Glee," featuring Jane Lynch. Teresa is also the co-creator/producer/writer/actress of an up-and-coming new web series titled "These Three Girls." She is also a ukulele player, and has performed at Amateur Night for Showtime at the Apollo, placing third. Fun Fact: Teresa has seen waaaaaay too many schlongs when riding public transportation. www.teresahui.com

MADISON JAMES is pleased as punch to be a part of another Bisen-Hersh extravaganza. Among many talents, she is incredibly adept at getting men out of her apartment in the morning.

AARON KELLER National Tour: Junie B. Jones Regional Theatre: Into the Woods, Shakespeare’s R&J, Splitting Heirs (world premiere), You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, The Pirates of Penzance, The Lost Colony.  Aaron has also produced several plays in New York including SAMMY GETS MUGGED! (New York Fringe Festival), and The War in the Garden.  Most importantly (at least for tonight) Aaron owns quite a lot of nice silk rope.

AMY LANG can currently be seen in the Off-Broadway show Cuff Me, the unauthorized 50 Shades of Grey musical. Yes it's another show about sex. This is confusing to Amy because in real life when she attempts to be sexy she often ends up hurting herself (and others). But for now she's enjoying her weird confusing sexy typecasting. She aspires to one day have sex in an igloo while Janet Jackson's "Velvet Rope" album plays in the background.

MELISSA MELI is thrilled to be taking the stage with Seth again at Don't Tell Mama! She performed in last year's If Adele Can Do It, So Can I, the 150th, 200th and 250th Showcase Celebrations, and she directed the 5th Annual Broadway Meows concert. Melissa's favorite acting credits include Two Gentlemen of Verona (Julia; Fringe NYC 2013), Pageant Princess, the Musical (Miss Brittney/Tierra Rose), Hamlet (Ophelia), The Shape of Things (Jenny), The Comedy of Errors (Dromio of Syracuse), and the very recent The Runaway Clone (Jill). She is co-founder and Marketing Director of Cupcake Lady Productions and co-creator of The Fools & Kings Project. BFA, New York University. Melissa is having trouble thinking up a sexual fun fact that wouldn't be horrifying if her dad read it, and is now hoping her dad never reads this sentence. www.melissameli.com

KYLA NOELLE is a recent NYC transplant hailing from the North Shore of Massachusetts. Previous roles include Woman 2 in Edges, Dot/ Marie in Sunday In the Park with George, and Mary Brenham in Our Country’s Good. After having trained as an actor at Circle in the Square and Walnut Hill School for the Arts, Kyla graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Government. Although she's a known flirt, Kyla's most turned on by heated debate and considers consent to be the sexiest foreplay.

MASON REICH is a horny, southern bastard who left his suburban town to explore what he had hope to be the "Sex & the City" lifestyle Sarah Jessica Parker experienced. No luck whatsoever! However, that never stopped him to explore the hustle and bustle of this fantastic city. He has performed in many of Seth's previous cabaret events, as well as at other venues. He recently portrayed Tom Cruise in Broadway Melodies, 'Love Never Dies: The Live Movie Musical'. When not performing... on stage that is, Mason likes to swallow down as many cock-tails as he possibly can, in addition to ordering himself a plate full of nachos. Sweet and salty are a great combination!

LAUREN TESTERMAN is thrilled to be a part of Not Your Grandma's Cabaret and all the raunchiness that goes with it! Her most recent credits include Next to Normal (Natalie), Freedom's Song (Martha), and Detention Therapy (Emily). Big thanks to Seth and Amy for writing her material and to Seth specifically for putting this cast of dirty sluts together!
